This past weekend Carson and I got to go to California for a few days to party and play basketball. Every year my uncle John holds the "Palley Roundball Tournament" at his house in Sacramento. It is a huge party with a lot of food, people, games, and of course basketball. Carson's team won the tournament last year so he had to go back this year to defend his title. Defend is exactly what he did. His team won again and he came home with his second basketball trophy in two years. His team members really like him because although his basketball skills aren't incredible, he can run for a long time and not get as tired. Along with basketball, the party included cotton candy, swimming, eating, a bounce house for the children, tons of games and prizes, and a lot of adult conversation. We had a great time and hope to be invited back next year!

The party took place in the back yard. The bounce house is set up in the far corner of the yard and at one point, the pool was full of little kids playing. Don't worry, there were real lifeguards there to watch them.

The jungle gym and sandbox was also crawling with kids throughout the whole party.

The cotton candy machine was a hit! Kids were lined up for miles waiting for some (well probably not miles, but a long way).

Grandpa Dell did all the grilling. He was a trooper to stand outside in the heat cooking hotdogs and hamburgers for over 100 people.

Carson and I on the airplane headed home. We really enjoyed our trip and are glad we got to go!
